The Challenge<\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

Pennsylvanians working together in the 20th century\u2014in community groups, advocacy organizations, and labor unions\u2014brought us high wages, strong unions, public education at all levels, and civil rights. Together, we created public policies that enabled our hard work to create a vibrant economy and a strong middle class.<\/p>\n

But these achievements were imperfect.<\/p>\n

Too often, women, Black people, Latinos, Indigenous people, the AAPI community, immigrants, people with disabilities, LGBTQ+ people, and others were excluded.<\/p>\n

And in recent years, those achievements\u2014and our efforts to extend them to those previously excluded\u2014have been under attack by right-wingers advancing a corporate-sponsored agenda.<\/p>\n

By dividing us based on what we look like and where we live, they have dominated Pennsylvania politics for too long.<\/p>\n

The Path Forward<\/h2>\n

We are determined to rise above our differences and work to achieve the goals we all share by encouraging all elected officials to support our ideals and agenda and electing state and federal legislators who will champion them.<\/p>\n
